Best Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

I wanted to make moist and most delicious cake on Easter and I found Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe on Pinterest, I made half recipe as mentioned in original recipe and it turned out so so yummy. You can say this is the best ever banana cake you ever ate in your life…but I would say it was super dooper yummy!!! Try this on Mother’s Day and get wishes from your mom. 🙂

Best Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:

  1. Rip Bananas, mashed – 1 1/4
  2. Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  3. All purpose flour – 1 1/2 cups
  4. Baking soda – 3/4 tsp
  5. Salt – 1/8 tsp
  6. Softened butter – 85 gm
  7. Sugar – 1 cup and 1 tbsp
  8. Eggs – 2
  9. Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  10. Buttermilk – 3/4 cup
  11. Chopped walnuts – 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Take a bowl, mashed banana, add lemon juice, mix well and set aside.
  • Strain flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Now in a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Then add eggs, one by one along vanilla and beat well.
  • Now add flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk.
  • Then finally add banana and mix with spoon.
  • Pour this batter into 2 prepared 8 inch round cake pans.
  • Bake in preheated oven on gas mark 4 or 180 C for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • When its done, let is cool down, then apply cream cheese frosting, garnish with chopped nut and serve.

Ingredients for cream cheese frosting:

  1. Softened butter – 60 gm
  2. Softened cream cheese – 4 oz
  3. Vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp
  4. Icing sugar – 1 3/4 cups

Method:

  • Take a bowl, add cream cheese and butter, beat until smooth.
  • Then add vanilla essence and icing sugar, beat on low speed  until smooth.
  • Sprinkle chopped walnuts over top of the frosting.
