Cake Rusk Recipe

Ingredient:

  1. Cardamom Seeds- 2 tsp
  2. Salt – 1 ½ tsp
  3. Sugar – 1 tsp
  4. Warm water – 2 cup
  5. All Purpose Flour – 8cups
  6. Cooking Oil – ½ cup
  7. Eggs – 2
  8. Sugar – ¾ cup
  9. Water – ½ cup
  10. Yeast package – 1

Method:

  • Dissolve yeast in the ½ cup Luke warm water.
  • Stir in the 1 tsp. of sugar, set aside for 1 hour.
  • Mix the oil with the ¾ cup sugar; add eggs, salt and 2 cups of warm water and dissolved yeast.
  • Then stir in flour and cardamom seeds and knead until smooth.
  • Return to a bowl well greased with oil.
  • Brush top with melted butter or oil.
  • Cover, and set aside in a warm place until dough rises double.
  • Make out in loaves in a long pan (you may use aluminium ice cube trays, which makes about 5 loaves).
  • When cooled, slice and dry.
  • Toast in a 200 degree oven until dry and light brown.
