Yummy Chana chaat recipe is a savoury snack, served at stalls or food carts in India and Pakistan. Try at home and enjoy the same taste.

Chana Chaat Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Boiled chickpeas – ½ kg
  2. Yogurt  – ½ kg
  3. Boiled potatoes  – 2 cut into cubes
  4. Boondi Soaked  – 1 cup
  5. Tamarind pulp – ½ cup
  6. Green chili paste – 1 tbsp
  7. Roasted cumin  – 2 tsp
  8. Salt  – ½ tsp
  9. Onion – 1 chopped
  10. Tomato – 2 chopped
  11. Green chilies – 4 to 5 chopped
  12. Coriander leaves – 1/4 bunch
  13. Mint leaves – 10 to 12

Method:

  • Take a bowl, add yogurt, roasted cumin, green chili paste and salt. Mix well.
  • In a serving dish, spread boiled chickpeas, spread yogurt mix.
  • Then spread soaked Boondi and boiled potatoes.
  • Now spread tamarind pulp, onion, tomatoes, green chilies, coriander leaves and mint leaves on top.
  • Finally sprinkle ground spices and serve.

Ground Spices:

  1. Whole coriander – 1 tsp
  2. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  3. Carom seeds  – 1 tsp
  4. Whole red chilies  – 6

Method:

  • Take a pan, roast together red chilies, cumin seeds, coriander seeds and carom seeds.
  • Grind finely and sprinkle on top of chaat.
