Chana Chaat Recipe
Yummy Chana chaat recipe is a savoury snack, served at stalls or food carts in India and Pakistan. Try at home and enjoy the same taste.
Chana Chaat Recipe
Ingredients:
- Boiled chickpeas – ½ kg
- Yogurt – ½ kg
- Boiled potatoes – 2 cut into cubes
- Boondi Soaked – 1 cup
- Tamarind pulp – ½ cup
- Green chili paste – 1 tbsp
- Roasted cumin – 2 tsp
- Salt – ½ tsp
- Onion – 1 chopped
- Tomato – 2 chopped
- Green chilies – 4 to 5 chopped
- Coriander leaves – 1/4 bunch
- Mint leaves – 10 to 12
Method:
- Take a bowl, add yogurt, roasted cumin, green chili paste and salt. Mix well.
- In a serving dish, spread boiled chickpeas, spread yogurt mix.
- Then spread soaked Boondi and boiled potatoes.
- Now spread tamarind pulp, onion, tomatoes, green chilies, coriander leaves and mint leaves on top.
- Finally sprinkle ground spices and serve.
Ground Spices:
- Whole coriander – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Carom seeds – 1 tsp
- Whole red chilies – 6
Method:
- Take a pan, roast together red chilies, cumin seeds, coriander seeds and carom seeds.
- Grind finely and sprinkle on top of chaat.
