Because of the issue of tears when you cut onions, several people hesitate to do so.
To avoid this, you can tightly wrap the onions you need to chop, into a plastic bag and leave them overnight in the fridge. In the morning, when you chop the onions for your food, you won’t have any issues with tears coming out of your eyes. If you forget at night, you can put the onions in the freezer, an hour before cooking – in the tightly wrapped plastic bag.
The second tip to cut onions: if you chop the onion from the bottom = meaning, if you turn it upside down – you can chop it without any tears.
To put onions into garlic, we mostly cut the onion in two parts before thinly chopping it to turn brown, if we thinly chop the entire onion as a whole, this way, the onion will cook well and there is no need to mash it.
