How to Make Chicken Manchurian: English – Urdu Recipe

Chicken Manchurian

Chicken Manchurian is a famous dish of Chinese cuisine. The secret of this recipe is cooked chicken in sweet and sour gravy. A good combination of this recipe is to serve it with Chinese Fried Rice.

Chicken Manchurian

Ingredients:

  1. Chicken breast – 2 cut in slices
  2. Chopped garlic cloves – 2
  3. Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
  4. White pepper – 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt – to taste
  6. Lightly beaten egg – 1
  7. Plain flour – 1 1/2 tbsp
  8. Oil – 2 tsp

Method:

  • Take a bowl, add chicken, garlic, black pepper, white pepper, salt, egg, flour and oil, mix and deep fry in medium hot oil until light golden brown.
  • Then take it out from the oil and set aside.

Ingredients for Gravy:

  1. Oil – 4 tbsp
  2. Garlic cloves – 2 chopped
  3. Spring onion – 1 cut in diamond shape
  4. Capsicum – 1 cut in diamond shape
  5. Pineapple – 4 slices
  6. Tomato ketchup – 4 tbsp
  7. Chili garlic sauce – 3 tbsp
  8. Salt – to taste
  9. Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
  10. White pepper – 1/2 tsp
  11. Worcestershire sauce – 2 tbsp
  12.  Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  13. Corn flour – 2 tbsp (dissolve in some water)
  14.  Green part of spring onion – 1 tbsp chopped

Method:

  • Take a pan, heat up oil and saute garlic.
  • Then add spring onion, capsicum and pineapple, fry for 2 seconds.
  • Then add fried chicken, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, salt, black pepper and white pepper, mix and add 1/2 cup of water and cook for 4 minutes.
  • During cooking, add Worcestershire sauce.
  • After 4 minutes, add corn flour mixture, cook for 2 to 3 minutes and squeeze lemon juice.
  • Garnish with green part of spring onion and serve with Chinese Fried Rice.
