How to Make Coffee Cake
Ingredients:
Coffee – 2 tsp (mix in ½ cup of hot water)
Flour – 2 cup
Baking powder – 2 tsp
Butter – 125g
Eggs – 2
Sugar – ½ cup
Method:
Take a bowl, put butter and mix with electric beater, then add sugar and mix well, ( 1st ground then measure sugar ½ cup ), then put eggs and beat well. Now mix flour and baking powder and put in eggs mixture and fold with spoon, also add coffee mixture and mix well, now beat for 5 seconds, and bake in 180ºC for 20 to 25 min.
When cake is done, let it cool down and decorate with coffee icing.
For Icing:
Coffee – 2 tbsp (dissolve in little bit of water)
Butter – 1 tbsp
Icing sugar – 1 cup
Take a bowl and mix coffee, icing sugar and butter and mix well and make a smooth paste. If you need to put water, add some but make sure you don’t put too much, otherwise your icing will be too watery. Apply on cake and serve.
