Dhaba Chicken Karahi


Ingredients:

Chicken – 1 kg
Oil or ghee – ½ cup
Green chillies – 6
Ginger flaks – 4 tbsp
Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Green chilli paste – 2 tbsp
Yogurt – 250g
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp (fried and grounded)
Crushed black pepper – 1 tsp
Cream – 2 tbsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp

Method:

Take a wok and put oil, heat it up, then add ginger garlic paste, salt, cumin seeds, ginger flaks 2 tbsp, black pepper, green chilli paste and 1 tbsp of water, fry a bit and add chicken and fry until it becomes a white colour. Then add yogurt and cook until the chicken tenders and the water dries.
When it’s done, add chopped green chillies, garam masala powder, lemon juice and cream, mix well. Garnish with ginger flaks. Serve with tandoori naan and enjoy!
