How to Make Garmi Ka Torr (Aam Ka Panna): English – Urdu

This drink keeps you safe from heat and heatstroke. You should make this especially in summer, when kids come home from school.


  1. Raw mangoes – 1/2 kg
  2. Sugar – 1 3/4 cup
  3. Fried carom seeds – 1 tbsp
  4. Fried cumin seeds – 4 tsp
  5. Salt – 4 tsp
  6. Black salt – 1 tsp
  7. Black peppers – 1/2 tsp
  8. Crushed ice – as required
  9. Mint leaves – as you like


In a pan, add raw mangoes and enough water to dip them. Cook until the skin comes off. Throw out the skin and grind the mixture. Now add sugar and cook until sugar dissolves and syrup becomes transparent. Strain this mixture and save in a clean bottle. Now mix carom seeds, cumin seeds, salt, black salt and black peppers, grind and leave aside.
To make one serving, take 1 glass of water; add 2 tbsp of the cooked syrup, 1/2 tsp of grinded spices and 1/2 cup of crushed ice. Mix and serve with mint leaves.

Note: If you have a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients, mix and pour in glass. Serve with mint leaves.
