How to Make Hyderabadi Tamatar Ka Kat, English / Urdu Recipe

Hyderabadi Tamatar Ka Kat

Ingredients:

Tomato – 6 to 8 (Boil, remove skin)
Fried whole red chillies – 6
Fried cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Fried chana dal – 1 tsp
Grind above spices with boiled tomatoes.

Masala No: 2

Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
Poppy seeds – 2 tbsp

Fried and grind masala no: 2

Green chilli – 4
Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Tamarind pulp – 4 tbsp
Kalwanji – ¼ tsp
Curry leaves – 12
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
Salt – to taste

Method:

In a pan add blended tomato and spice mixture, along with ½ cup water, salt and let it cook for 5 minutes. Then add masala No 2 and cook 2 to 3 minutes, then add red chilli powder, tamarind pulp, kalwanji, curry leaves and turmeric powder, cook for 5 minutes, then green chilli and when green chillies become soft take it off the flame and pour bhigaar. Serve with boil eggs.

For bighar:

Red whole chilli – 8
Curry leaves – 6
Fenugreek seeds – 5
Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
