Everyone likes to eat fish, whether it’s fried or grilled, so try this delicious and easy recipe of masala fried fish with ketchup that you can make at home without any difficulties.

Masala Fried Fish


  1. Surmai or Rohu Fish fillets – ½ kg
  2. Crushed cumin seeds – 2 tsp
  3. Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
  4. Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  5. Carom seeds – 1 tsp
  6. Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  7. White vinegar – 1 tsp
  8. Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
  9. Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  10. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  11. Gram flour – 3 tbsp
  12. Salt – to taste
  13. Oil – for frying


  • Apply salt and lemon juice on fish, then wash and pat dry fish slices.
  • Take a bowl, add cumin seeds, black pepper, red chili, carom seeds, lemon juice, vinegar, garam masala, chaat masala, ginger garlic paste, salt and gram flour flour, mix well.
  • Now marinate fish slices with this mixture and leave for 3 hours in fridge.
  • Heat up oil in a pan, shallow fry fish slices on both sides until golden and crispy.
  • Serve with ketchup.
