Ingredients

  1. Rice – 3 cup (soaked)
  2. Potatoes – 3
  3. Peas – 1 cup
  4. Coriander leaves – ½ cup (chopped)
  5. Green chili – 5-6
  6. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  7. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  8. Onion – 1 (cut into slices)
  9. Plum – 6-8
  10. Yogurt – ½ cup (whipped)
  11. Salt – to taste
  12. Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  13. Cumin – 1 tsp
  14. All spice powder – ½ tsp
  15. Oil – ½ cup
  16. Chicken stock – as required

 

Method:

Cut potatoes in cubes and boil for 5 minutes.  Heat oil in a frying pan and fry onions till brown. Add cumin, ginger garlic paste, peas, turmeric powder, red chili powder and fry for a while. Now add yogurt, plum, salt, all spice powder and potatoes. Add soaked rice and mix well (you can also put chicken stock or chicken cube with water). Add coriander leaves, green chilies, cover and cook until water dries. Finally steam rice on low flame for few minutes. Serve potato peas rice with raita and salad.
