Chocolate Chip Muffins


  1. Butter – 150gm/5 oz
  2. Brown sugar – 150gm/5 oz
  3. Eggs – 2
  4. Self raising flour – 150gm/5oz
  5. Coco powder – 1 tbsp
  6. Milk – 75-100 ml
  7. Chocolate chips – 75gm/3oz


  • Use a paper towel to grease the muffin tray a little soft butter.
  • Put the butter, sugar and eggs into a large mixing bowl. Sift in  the flour. Stir the  ingredients together with a wooden
  • spoon until well mixed.
  • Sift the cocoa powder into the bowl. Add the milk unto the mixture is creamy and add the chocolate chips.
  • Use a teaspoon to divide the mixture equally into the muffin tray bake the muffins for 12 Minutes.
  • Leave the muffins in the tray until they are cool, then serve.

Top tip!

To soften the butter, take it out of the fridge at least 30 mintues before cooking.
