Kheer is prepared using milk, rice, sugar, and Khoya. Some also add a little bit of Heavy Cream to give it more richness in taste. It is often garnished using almonds, raisins, pistachios and silver paper. But now try with Rabri and enjoy the richness of yummy kheer.
It is an essential dish in many feasts and celebrations.
- Milk – 2 kg
- Rice – 1/2 cup soaked for 4 to 5 hours
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Rabri – 1/2 kg
- Kewra water – 1 tbsp
- Almonds sliced – 2 tbsp
- Pistachio sliced – 2 tbsp
- Silver paper – 1
Take a pan, add milk and bring to boil, then add rice, cook until rice is tender, then add sugar and cook until milk reduces and thickens. Then add kewra water, rabri and nuts. Mix and serve as it is or chilled.
