How to Make Yummy Chicken Tikka Pulao

Chicken Tikka Pulao gives you different and unique taste of BBQ. You’ve tried tikka biryani, rice serves tikka slices individually, but this pulao included tikka favour along with the taste of pulao.

Ingredients for BBQ chicken:

  1. Chicken – 1 kg/16 pieces
  2. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  3. Lemon juice – 4 tbsp
  4. Oil – 2 tbsp
  5. Yogurt – 4 tbsp
  6. Salt – 1 tsp
  7. Red chili powder – 1 tbsp
  8. Red crushed chili – ½ tsp
  9. Yellow food color – 1 pinch
  10. Fried crushed cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  11. Zafrani garam masala powder – 1 tsp
  12. Or simple garam masala powder – 1 tsp + green cardamom powder – ½ tsp + nutmeg powder – 1/8 tsp + mace powder – 1/8 tsp
  13. Charcoal – 1

Method:

Mix and leave for at least 1 hour or overnight. Then bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or cook on pan until tender.

Ingredients for pulao:

  1. Rice – 750gm
  2. Oil – ¾ cup
  3. Onion – 2
  4. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  5. Black pepper – 6 to 8
  6. Cinnamon sticks – 2
  7. Big cardamoms -2
  8. Cloves – 7
  9. Green cardamoms – 5 to 6
  10. Bay leaves – 2
  11. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  12. Salt – to taste
  13. Yogurt – ½ cup
  14. Chicken stock – 4 cups or 2 chicken cubes
  15. Tomato chopped – 1 cup
  16. Whole green chilies – 8
  17. Fresh coriander – ½ bunches

Method:

Take a pan, add oil and fry onion and whole garam masala until golden brown. Then add ginger garlic paste, tomato, yogurt, salt and green chilies; mix and cook well. Then add cooked chicken tikka pieces, fry well. Then add stock or water with chicken cubes. Bring to boil and add soaked rice. Cook until water dries, then add fresh coriander, cover and cook on steam for 15 minutes. Chicken Tikka Pulao is ready. Serve with raita and fresh salad.
