Kaleji ka salan recipe is the most demanding dish on the first day of Eid ul azha, because you can cook in very little time since all Qurbani has to be done.

Kaleji ka Salan Recipe

Toks Ki Tawa Fry Kaleji: English – Urdu Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Kaleji – 1 kg
  2. Oil – 1/2 cup
  3. Red crushed chili – 1 tbsp
  4. Cumin seeds – 2 tsp
  5. Salt – to taste
  6. Tomato – 250 gm roughly chopped
  7. Ginger garlic paste
  8. Mustard seeds (rai) – 1 tsp
  9. Whole green chilli – 6
  10. Fresh coriander – 4 tbsp chopped
  11. Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
  12. Lemon juice – 4 tbsp
  13. Dry fenugreek leaves – 1 tbsp

Method:

  • Heat up oil, add red crused chili, mustard seeds (ra), cumin seeds, salt and ginger garlic paste, stir fry for 5 sec.
  • Then add tomato, cover and let it cook until tomatoes soften.
  • Then add kaleji and green chilies, fry on high flame until tender.
  • Then add fenugreek leaves, lemon juice, chopped green chili, fresh coriander and garam masala, cover and put on dum for 5 minutes.
  • This recipe contains gravy but if you want to bbq then take I kg kaleji, 2 tbsp black pepper, 4 tbsp lemon juce, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp garam masala powder and 1 tsp chaat masala, mix and leave for 10 minutes, then bbq or grill with skewers.
