Moong Ki Daal K Pakoray
Moong daal (split green gram) – 250g
Spring onion – 250g
Green coriander – 2 tbsp
Green chillies – 4 to 5
Red crushed chilli – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Dry coriander (ground) – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds (fried and ground) – 1 tsp
Baking powder – ½ tsp
Soak daal for 6 hours, and then remove skin. Now put in grinder and make a paste. In a bowl put daal paste, chopped spring onion, chopped green chillies, chopped coriander, salt, red crushed chilli, dry coriander, cumin seeds and baking powder. Mix all ingredients and deep fry in hot oil till golden and crispy. Serve with tamarind sauce.
Remember to add baking powder just before frying.
