Shab Daig Recipe: Authentic Indian Recipe
Ingredients:
- Mutton chops – ½ kg
- Ghee – 1 cup
- Onion – 1 cup
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Degi mirch – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Yogurt – ½ cup
- Sugar – 1tbsp
- All spice powder – 1 tsp
- Roasted cumin – 1 tsp
- Ginger chopped – 1tbsp
- Coriander chopped – ½ bunch
- Green chilies – 6-8
- Ginger flaks – 2 tbsp
- Turnips – ½ kg
- Carrot – ½ kg
- Flour – for pan seal
Method:
- Prick vegetables and fry in 2 tbsp ghee then put ¼ cup water, cover and cook until tender.
- Then take a pan, fry onion until golden brown, take it out onion and grind.
- Now in oil add ginger garlic paste fry for 1 minute, then add yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili, coriander powder, degi mirch and salt, fry well.
- Now add mutton, fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add ground onion, mix and add carrots, turnips, koftay and water, cook for 2 minutes.
- Then add garam masala powder, cumin, sugar, 1 tbsp ginger flaks, green chili whole, fresh coriander, cover and seal with flour, cook for at least 1 hour. Garnish with fresh coriander and ginger flaks.
- Serve with naan, boil rice or chapattis.
Ingredients for Kofta:
- Beef mince – 1/2 kg
- Onion – 1
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Whole green chillies – 2
- Coriander leaves – 1/2 bunch
- Saffron garam masala – 1 tsp
- Roasted chick peas or gram flour – 2 tbsp
- Poppy seeds – 1 tbsp
- Eggs – 1
Chop mince twice then mix remaining ingredients and make kofta shape.
