How to Make (Tres Leches) Three Milk Cake, English / Urdu Recipe
Three Milk Cake
Ingredients for cake:
Egg whites – 6
Egg yolks – 6
Ground sugar – ½ cup
Flour – 1 cup
Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
Method:
Beat egg whites and ¼ cup sugar in large mixer bowl until stiff peaks form. Combine egg yolks and remaining sugar in medium bowl, beat until light yellow in colour. Fold egg whites mixture and flour alternately into egg yolk mixture. Add vanilla essence. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven on 375ºF, 180ºC, or Gas Mark 4. Grease and flour 9 inch spring form pan for 15 to 20 minutes or until just golden and wooden pick inserted in centre comes out clean. Remove from oven to wire rack.
Ingredients for filling:
Condensed milk – 410g
Whipped cream – 1 cup
Evaporated milk – 5oz
Orange juice or fresh milk – ¼ cup
Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
Method:
Combine condensed milk, half cream, evaporated milk, orange juice or fresh milk and vanilla essence in medium bowl, stir well. Prick top of cake thoroughly with wooden pick. Pour this mixture over cake. Let stand for 30 minutes or until cake absorbs the mixture. Remove side of pan.
Beat cream, sugar and vanilla essence in small mixer bowl until stiff peaks form, spread over top and sides of cake and serve.
