How to Make Achari Aloo (Pickled Potato): English – Urdu
Ingredients:
- 2 cups wheat flour
- Salt, to taste
- ¾ tsp powdered sugar
- 1 cup warm water, or as needed
- Ghee, for layering and cooking
- Dry flour, for layering

Method:
- In a bowl, mix the wheat flour, salt, and powdered sugar.
- Gradually add warm water and knead into a smooth, soft dough.
- Cover and let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 3 equal portions.
- Take one portion and roll it out into a thin circle.
- Apply a layer of ghee and sprinkle some dry flour evenly over it.
- Fold the dough inward from both sides, fold it again, and cut it into 2 strips.
- Join the two strips together and roll them into a wheel shape, as shown in the video.
- Let the shaped dough rest for another 10 minutes.
- Using light hands, gently roll it out, making sure not to press too hard so the layers remain intact.
- Heat a skillet or tawa and cook the paratha on both sides with ghee until golden, crispy, and beautifully layered.
