This is a classic, old-world, mutton stew recipe. It’s simple, delicious, and inexpensive to make. While there are many versions of this traditional mutton recipe, this one is very tasty, and comforting.
Mutton stew Ingredients:
- Mutton – ½ kg
- Garlic – 10 cloves
- Ginger – 2 inch slice
- Oil – ½ cup
- Whole red chillies – 12
- Yogurt – ¼ cup
- Onion – 375g cut in cubes
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Cloves – 6
- Green cardamoms – 3
- Black pepper – 6
- Cinnamon stick – 1
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Tomato – 1 cut in cubes
Method:
Take a pan, add mutton, oil, onion, garlic, ginger, tomato, red chillies, salt, cumin seeds, cloves, black pepper, cinnamon stick and green cardamoms, cover and cook on low heat until mutton is half done. Then add yogurt, fry and let it cook until yogurt water dries. Then fry well and serve.
