Shahi Haleem Recipe: In English
Ingredients:
- Rice – ½ kg
- Mutton mince – 250 gm
- Green split lentil with husk (moong daal with chilka) – 1 cup
- Yogurt – ½ cup
- Chopped spinach – 2 cups
- Dill chopped – 2 tbsp
- Onion sliced – 2
- Ginger garlic paste – 3 tsp
- Coriander powder – 2 tsp
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Chili powder – 3 tsp
- Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric – ½ tsp
- Tomatoes – 2 chopped
- Oil – 1 cup
- Green chilies – 4 chopped
- Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp chopped
- Ginger flakes – 1 tbsp

Method:
- Wash and soaked rice and lentil.
- Fry sliced onions in 1 cup oil till light golden take out half the onion and keep aside for garnish, add ginger garlic paste, fry for 5 seconds, then add chopped tomatoes and fry well.
- Then add chili powder, coriander powder, salt, turmeric powder and mince, cook till mince half done, add chopped spinach and yogurt, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
- Then add the soaked rice and daal with 5 cups of water, dill and garam masala powder, cover and cook till all done, mix very well and mash little bit with wooden spoon.
- Garnish with left over oil, brown onions, ginger flakes, fresh coriander and green chilies.
