How to Make Chicken Manchurian: English – Urdu Recipe
Chicken Manchurian is a famous dish of Chinese cuisine. The secret of this recipe is cooked chicken in sweet and sour gravy. A good combination of this recipe is to serve it with Chinese Fried Rice.
Chicken Manchurian
Ingredients:
- Chicken breast – 2 cut in slices
- Chopped garlic cloves – 2
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- White pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Lightly beaten egg – 1
- Plain flour – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tsp
Method:
- Take a bowl, add chicken, garlic, black pepper, white pepper, salt, egg, flour and oil, mix and deep fry in medium hot oil until light golden brown.
- Then take it out from the oil and set aside.
Ingredients for Gravy:
- Oil – 4 tbsp
- Garlic cloves – 2 chopped
- Spring onion – 1 cut in diamond shape
- Capsicum – 1 cut in diamond shape
- Pineapple – 4 slices
- Tomato ketchup – 4 tbsp
- Chili garlic sauce – 3 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- White pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce – 2 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 2 tsp
- Corn flour – 2 tbsp (dissolve in some water)
- Green part of spring onion – 1 tbsp chopped
Method:
- Take a pan, heat up oil and saute garlic.
- Then add spring onion, capsicum and pineapple, fry for 2 seconds.
- Then add fried chicken, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, salt, black pepper and white pepper, mix and add 1/2 cup of water and cook for 4 minutes.
- During cooking, add Worcestershire sauce.
- After 4 minutes, add corn flour mixture, cook for 2 to 3 minutes and squeeze lemon juice.
- Garnish with green part of spring onion and serve with Chinese Fried Rice.
