How to Cook Lauki Aur Sago Dana Ki Kheer,English/Urdu Recipe


Lauki Aur Sago Dana Ki Kheer
Ingredients:
Milk – 1 ¼ litres
Sago – 3 tbsp
Sugar – ½ cup
Loki (Bottle Gourd) – 2 cup crushed (soaked in water)
Vanilla custard powder – 1 tbsp
Rose water – 1 tbsp
Green food colour – few drops
Almond and pistachio – as required
Green cardamom – 3
Method:
Heat up milk and soak sago in water. When the milk boils, take out the sago from the water and add it to the milk, and cook it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, take the loki out of the water, dry it completely and also add this to the milk, and cook it until it’s cooked, then add sugar and cardamom. When the sugar is properly mixed, then mix custard powder in a little bit of milk and add it slowly, whilst continually stirring. When it thickens slightly, take it off the cooker. When it reaches room temperature, add rose water and green colouring and mix. Sprinkle almond and pistachio on top, and serve.
