Kofta Curry Recipe

Homemade kofta/meatballs in sauce have always reminded me of my childhood, a recipe from my mother’s house. One of those meals that succeeds when you are little and that you ask your mother day in and day out to make this delicious dish. So today we will cook kofta/meatballs with gravy along with boiled eggs.

Easy Naan Recipe: English – Urdu

Ingredients for Meatballs/Kofta

  1. Mince – 1/2 kg
  2. Green Chillies – 2 to 3
  3. Onion – 120 gm
  4. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  5. Fried and grinded gram peas – 3 tbsp
  6. Cumin seeds powder – 1/2 tsp
  7. Dry coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
  8. Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
  9. Salt – 1 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Method for Meatballs:

  • Put all above ingredients along with mince in food processor, and chop well until it becomes smooth paste, and then make mince balls.
  • Make gravy and cook these mince balls with gravy.

Keto Naan Bread Recipe

Ingredients for gravy:

  1. Cooking Oil – 1/2 cup
  2. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  3. Bay leaf – 1
  4. Cloves – 3
  5. Cinnamon stick – 1
  6. Onion – 1 big size (paste)
  7. Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
  8. Blended tomato – 3
  9. Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  10. Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
  11. Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
  12. Salt – to taste
  13. Degi mirch or paprika powder – 1 tsp
  14. Yogurt – 2 tbsp
  15. Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
  16. Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp chopped
  17. Hard boiled eggs – 4 to 5 (optional)

Method for gravy:

  • Heat up oil in a sauce pan along with whole spices and fry for 10 seconds, add onion paste and fry well.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry until lightly pink.
  • Add blended tomato and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and degi mirch or paprika powder. Fry well.
  • Add yogurt and fry well until oil separates. Then add some water and bring to boil.
  • Add meatballs, cover and cook for 10 minutes. Then change the sides of meatballs, cover and cook on low heat for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • When it’s done, add garam masala powder and fresh coriander.
  • Serve with boiled rice, spaghetti or naan along with hard boiled eggs.
