Orange Cheesecake Recipe by Shireen Anwer
Ingredients for Crust:
- Digestive biscuits – 2 cups (make crumbs)
- Butter, melted – 3 tbsp
- Mix biscuit crumbs in melted butter and press into your preferred pan, and bake in preheat oven to 350 degrees F, Gas Mark 4, 180C for 10 minutes.
- Then set aside.
Ingredients for filling Cheesecake:
- Curd cheese – ½ cup (1/2 cup yogurt hang in muslin clothe for whole night)
- Sugar – ¾ cup
- Eggs whites – 2
- Whipped cream – 200 gm
- Gelatin powder – 1 ½ tbsp
- Fresh orange juice – ½ cup
- Orange flavour jelly powder – 1 packet
Method:
- Take a pan, put orange juice and gelatin powder, mix well and put on heat for 30 seconds and remove.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Take another bowl add curd cheese and sugar, beat with beater, during beating add gelatine mixture and dry jelly powder, beat well.
- Then add whipped cream, beat on low speed.
- Then add egg whites and mix with spatula.
- Pour batter into prepared crust, and then cover and put in the fridge to chill.
- Once fully chilled, it is ready to serve.
