Raan Steam Roast: English – Urdu Recipe
Raan Steam Roast
Ingredients:
- Leg of lamb – 1
- Fresh coriander – ½ bunches
- Ginger garlic paste – 3 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Papaya paste – 4 tbsp
- Cumin powder – 1 tbsp
- Garam masala powder – 1 tbsp
- Yogurt – 250g
- Chat masala – 1 tbsp
- Mango powder – 1 tbsp
- Crushed cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
- Red crushed chilli – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 2 tbsp
- Oil – for frying
Method:
- Take a leg of a lamb, wash it and dry it properly, then make deep cuts, apply salt, ginger garlic paste and papaya paste and leave for at least half an hour.
- Now take a wok and put oil and heat it up, put marinated leg in hot oil just to give it a brown colour.
- Make sure you don’t put the leg in the oil, just hold with a big strainer.
- Now take it out from oil and put it aside, now mix all ingredients in yogurt and apply on leg all around.
- Now put 1 ½ jug of water in steamer and steam leg for 25 minutes and then serve.
