Dahi Phulki Raita: English – Urdu Recipe
Ingredientes for Yakhni:
- Chicken – 1 kg
- Garlic cloves – 10 – 12
- Green chilies – 4
- Onion – 1
- Ginger – 1 inch piece
- Spice bag – (green cardamoms 4, cinnamon sticks 3, black cardamoms 2, star anise 2, mace 1/2 tsp, bay leaves 2, fennel seeds 1/2 tbsp, dry coriander seeds 1 tbsp, cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp)
- Salt – 1/2 tbsp
Ingredients for pulao:
Keto Spicy Cauliflower Rice
- Oil – 1 cup
- Onion – 2 sliced
- Black pepper whole – 1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon sticks – 2
- Green cardamoms – 4
- Cloves – 5
- Mace – 1/2 tsp
- Star anise – 1
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tbsp
- Black cardamoms – 2
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
- Crushed green chillies – 2 tbsp
- Yogurt – 1/2 cup
- Sliced tomato – 1
- Green chilies – 10 to 12
- Soaked rice – 750 gm
Method:
- Make a spice bag, in a pan, add chicken, onion, ginger garlic, green chilies, spice bag, salt and water.
- Cook until chicken is half done, take off the flame.
- Now in a separate pan, add oil and onions and fry until golden brown, then take out the fried onion and ast aside.
- Then add whole garam masala and stir fry, then add ginger garlic paste and fry for few seconds.
- Then add chicken and fry well. Then add ground green chilies, fry for 1 minute, and add yogurt. Fry well.
- Add chopped tomato and green chilies.
- Then add rice and yakhni, cover and cook until water dries.
- Now spread fried onion on top and put on dum.
- Serve with kachoomer salad and raita.
