Instructions to Prepare the stuffing for onion paratha:
- In a bowl, combine the onions, turmeric powder, gram flour, red chilli powder, paprika powder, kasoori methi, coriander powder, amchoor powder, cumin powder, green chilies and fresh coriander. Divide and Roll.
- After resting, divide the dough into equal-sized balls.
- Take one dough ball and roll it out into a thin circle (about 6-7 inches in diameter) using a rolling pin and a dusting of flour to prevent sticking.
Layering:
- Brush the rolled-out circle with ghee or butter.
- Sprinkle some dry flour over the ghee/butter layer.
- Spread the stuffing on rolled dough. Cut in stripes.

Create a Spiral for lachha paratha:
- After making the pleats, roll them tightly together to form a spiral shape.
Roll Out the Spiral:
- Flatten the spiral gently with your hands and roll it out again into a circle. Ensure it’s not too thick.
Cooking:
- Heat a skillet or tawa over medium heat.
- Once hot, place the rolled-out paratha onto the skillet.
- Cook for a minute or so until you see bubbles forming on the surface.
- Flip the paratha and cook the other side, applying a little ghee or oil on both sides, until golden brown spots appear.
