Aloo Gosht

- Lamb – 500 gm cut into pieces
- Onions – 1 finely chopped
- Green chilies – 2 chopped
- Tomatoes – 2 chopped
- Curry powder – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp (adjust to your spice preference)
- Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds powder – 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli flakes – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Degi mirch – 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Cooking oil or ghee (clarified butter)
- Potatoes – 2, peeled and cut into chunks
- Peas – 1/3 cup (optional)
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
- Green chilies – 2 slit
Instructions:

- Add lamb, onions, green chilies, tomatoes, curry powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, red chilli flakes, salt, degi mirch, ginger garlic paste and water in a clay pot or in a pan.
- Cook the meat with the spices until the meat is tender.
- Add oil or ghee and fry well until the oil separates.
- Add the potato chunk and peas. Fry well.
- Add some water and cook until the potatoes are soft and the curry reaches your desired consistency. Add fenugreek leaves.
- Finally, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and green chillies.
- Serve Aloo Gosht hot with rice or Indian bread like naan or roti.
