  1. Rice Flakes (POHA THIN) – 5 cup
  2. Turmeric (HALDI) – 1 tsp
  3. Salt – 1 tsp
  4. Red Chili Powder – 1/2 tsp

Other Ingredients:

  1. Peanuts Raw – 1 cup (SEE NOTE BELOW)
  2. Cashew – 1/4 cup (HALVED)
  3. Almonds – 1/4 cup (HALVED)
  4. Coconut – 1/2 cup (DRIED & SLICED)
  5. Raisins – 1/2 cup (GOLDEN & BLACK COMBINED)
  6. Green Peppers – 5 peppers (SLICED THIN)
  7. Curry Pata – 1 handful (3 STEMS)
  8. Sugar – 2 tbsp (OPTIONAL)
  9. Citric Acid – 1/4 tsp

Method to Prepare Homemade Chivda Recipe:

  • Preheat the pan on MEDIUM-LOW HEAT. Dry roast it 8 minutes. 8 minutes later it’s turn crispy take it in a bowl.
  • In a same pan add 3 tbsp oil. The temperature of the stove should be MEDIUM-LOW HEAT. Sauté it until crispy (AFTER FRYING FOR 3 MINUTES).
  • Add cashews and almonds and sauté it for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes add coconut and sauté (ONCE THE COCONUT TURNS GOLDEN BROWN) add raisins and fry for 1 minutes.
  • After 1 minutes add green peppers separate and sauté it for 1 minute. 1 minute later add 1 tsp oil and cook until crispy.
  • Add curry pata and mix all the ingredients until curry pata get crispy (ONCE CURRY PATA ARE CRISPY). Add all the spices and mix know add poha mix until well combine stir continuously.
  • Add sugar & citric acid and mix well. Roast for 2 minutes. 2 minutes later turn off the stove and dish out to cool.
  • Once cool (COMES TO ROOM TEMPERATURE) put into an airtight jar. You can store it for a 1 month.
  • Serve Chewrda with tea (CHAI).


If you are ALLERGIC to peanut you can omit it.
