Delicious dish of Okra sautéed with onion and tomato masala in the Indian style. Okra is a vegetable whose immature pods are used for soups, canning and stewing, but it can also be eaten fried or boiled.

How to Make Bhindi Ki Sabzi: English – Urdu Recipe
Ingredients:
- Okra or bhindi – 250 gm
- Oil – 4 tbsp
- Whole dry red chilies – 2
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Onion – 1/2 cup chopped
- Ginger – 1 tsp fine chopped
- Garlic – 1 tsp
- Tomato puree or blended tomato – 100 gm
- Chili flakes – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Green chilies – 2 chopped
- Onion – 1/2 slices
Method:
- Wash okra or bhindi. Then dry with a cloth and then cut lengthwise into quarters.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a skillet over moderate heat and stir fry okra for 1 to 2 minutes. Take it out and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 2 tbsp oil and fry whole red chili, cumin seeds and onion until light pink.
- Add ginger garlic and tomato puree along with all spices and okra.
- At the end, add sliced onion, cover and cook on dum for 5 minutes.
- Serve with naan or chapattis.
