DAHI WALI LAUKI

DAHI WALI LAUKI is a Pakistani-style bottle gourd curry. A vegetarian main course dish cooked without onion🧅🌰 (پیاز), tomato🍅 (ٹماٹر). You can dip hot chapati (روٹی) into this DAHI WALI LAUKI, or relish it with rice; either way, this lauki ki sabzi is truly comforting.

INGREDIENTS:-

How to Make Mazedar Lauki ki Sabzi in Urdu – English

  1. Bottle Gourd (LAUKI) (لوکی، کدو) – 1 lb (~0.5 KG)
  2. Cooking Oil🛢(تیل) – 2 tbsp
  3. Garlic🧄Paste (لہسن کا پیسٹ) – 2 tbsp
  4. Yogurt (دہی) – 1.5 cups (WHISKED) (پیٹھی ہوئ دہی)
  5. Water💧(پانی) – 1 cup
  6. Kashmiri Red Chili Powder (کشمیری لال مرچ کا پاوڈر) (NOT SPICY) (تیز نہیں) – 2 tsp (OPTIONAL,اختیاری)

SPICES:-

  1. Dry FenuGreek (سوکھی میتھی) – 1 tbsp
  2. Red Chili Powder (لال مرچ کا پاوڈر) – 1 tsp
  3. Coriander Powder (دھنیہ کا پاوڈر)- 1 tbsp
  4. Tumeric Powder (ہلدی کا پاوڈر) – 1/4 tsp
  5. Cumin Seeds (ثابت زیرہ) -1 tsp
  6. Salt🧂(نمک) – 1 tsp

Low Carb Chicken Paratha Roll

FOR TEMPERING / TARKA (تڑکا/بھگار کے لیے):-

Cooking Oil🛢(تیل) – 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds (ثابت زیرہ) -1 tsp
Curry Pata (کڑی پتہ) – 2 sprig🌿🌿 (TAKE THE LEAVES🍃🍃OUT)
Round Dry Red Chili Peppers🌶 – 8-10 Peppers🌶(سوکھی گول لال مرچ)

INSTRUCTIONS:-

  • Take a pan. Turn flame🔥 on to MEDIUM-HEAT. Add oil🛢(تیل) then add garlic🧄paste (لہسن کا پیسٹ) know add all the spices add water💧(پانی) 1 tbsp sauté. Add water💧(پانی) 1 tbsp sauté. Add water💧(پانی) 1 tbsp sauté.
  • Add water💧(پانی) 1 tbsp sauté. Add water💧(پانی) 1 tbsp sauté. Add water💧(پانی) 1 tbsp sauté. (Total we add water💧(پانی) times).
  • Take bottle gourd ((LAUKI) (لوکی، کدو) remove both edges. Remove the skin. Cut from the middle. Cut from the cubes and put in the spice mixture mix together.
  • Add water💧(پانی) 1 tbsp and sauté for 4 minutes. Turn the flame🔥on to MEDIUM HIGH-HEAT. 4 minutes later add water💧(پانی) mix well close the lid and cook for 10 minutes. 10 minutes later. Turn the flame🔥off.
  • Add yogurt (دہی) (WHISKED) (پیٹھی ہوئ دہی) into bottle gourd ((LAUKI) (لوکی، کدو) mix lightly. Take out on a serving platter know add kashmiri red chili powder (کشمیری لال مرچ کا پاوڈر) (NOT SPICY)(تیز نہیں).

TEMPERING / TARKA (تڑکا/بھگار):-

  • Take a frying pan. Turn flame🔥 on to MEDIUM-HEAT. Add oil🛢(تیل) then add cumin seeds (ثابت زیرہ), round dry red chili peppers🌶 (سوکھی گول لال مرچ), curry pata (کڑی پتہ) Turn flame🔥 on to LOW-HEAT.
  • Turn flame🔥 on to MEDIUM-HEAT. Heat up the tempering/tarka (تڑکا/بھگار). Add tempering/tarka (تڑکا/بھگار) stir.

SERVING:-

Served with Mung Daal Rice🍚 (مونگ کی دال والے چاولوں🍚 کے ساتھ)
