Nutrition recommendations:

Adopt adequate food. Have a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water (at least eight glasses) and avoid consumption of saturated fats or junk food. Caffeine and alcoholic beverages should be kept to a minimum as they tend to dry out the skin by dehydrating it.

General recommendations::

  • Use a moisturizer and a special one (more dense) at night especially in the area around the eyes. However, it is important to check on the product label whether it contains natural ingredients rather than industrial ones, such as silicone. It is necessary to keep in mind that an excess of synthetic waxes provides only superficial moisturizing.
  • Protect the skin from external elements that can dry out easily such as wind, heating, sun or extreme cold. In this regard, it is important to always use a sun protection cream especially in the summer.
  • Perform physical activity, as it promotes oxygenation of the skin and its regeneration. This is due to the fact that when exercising or performing any activity that causes an increase in the heart rate (walking, swimming, etc.), a lot of oxygen is inhaled and the blood circulation is improved, which helps to give a more youthful appearance.
  • Always remove makeup before bedtime. It is important to clean the complexion of the makeup and the debris of pollution acquired during the day. Failure to do so may cause the skin to “breathe” at night which facilitates deterioration. When this cleaning is done, the use of astringents with alcohol should be avoided, as they dry the skin more. Also, it is necessary to perform an exfoliation every 15 days.
  • Checking the water temperature when bathing, it is important to ensure that the water is warm and not hot. First, the skin should be thoroughly soaked, and then apply the washing product. Finally, it is important to remove any remaining soap particles very well.
  • Avoid repetitive facial gestures because dry skin tends to wrinkle easily. It is important to control facial movements. In this sense, it is recommended to look in the mirror and see if the lines of expression correspond to certain facial expressions. If so, you should stop making those expressions, which may reduce the depth of the lines and, no doubt, prevent them from becoming deeper.
