Usually we use green chilies in our normal spicy dishes, but sometimes these green chilies are a delicious snack by themselves. Such as, stuffed chilies, chili curry or as we are sharing today, mirchi pakora recipe. However, do try this recipe in iftari along with other snacks, you will love this more then other things.

Tamatar aur Imli ki Chutney: English – Urdu Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Whole Green chilies (large) – 10
  2. Imchoor powder – 1 tsp
  3. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  4. Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  5. Salt – to taste
  6. Imli pulp – as required
  7. Roasted and chopped peanuts – 3 tbsp

Ingredients for batter:

  1. Gram flour – 1 cup
  2. Salt – to taste
  3. Baking soda – a pinch
  4. Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  5. Oil – to deep fry

Mix together gram flour, salt, baking soda and red chili powder, make thick batter with water.

Method:

  • Take a bowl, add imchoor powder, cumin seeds, red chili powder, salt and peanuts, mix and make paste with tamarind pulp.
  • Make slit in chilies, and stuf this tamarind paste.
  • Dip the stuffed chilies in the batter, and deep fry in hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve with imli or mint chutney.Mirchi Pakora Recipe
