Orange Fresh Cream Cake

Ingredients for cake:

Orange Cheese Cake by Chef Tahira Mateen
  1. Flour – 1 cup
  2. Baking powder – 1 ¼ tsp
  3. Water – 3 tbsp
  4. Sugar – ¾ cup
  5. Orange essence – ½ tsp
  6. Eggs – 3
  7. Orange food color – few drops


  • Strain flour and baking powder. Take a bowl, add egg whites and 3 tbsp of sugar and beat until white foam appears.
  • Take another bowl, add egg yolks and remaining sugar, beat until sugar dissolves. Then add orange peel, orange essence, water and orange color, mix well.
  • Now add flour mixture and egg whites and fold with spatula. Bake in preheated oven on 180 degrees, gas mark 4 for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • When it’s done, let it cool down and cut in 2 layers, decorate with whipped cream and orange slices.

Ingredients for Icing:

  1. Sugar – 1 tbsp
  2. Fresh cream – 750 gm
  3. Sugar – to taste
  4. Orange juice – 1/3 cup
  5. Orange slices – as required
  6. Orange marmalade – 4 tbsp


  • Beat cream and sugar until stiff. Now take a bowl, add orange juice, 1 tbsp sugar, mix well.
  • Now moist cake with orange juice, then apply whipped cream, then marmalade, place 2nd layer of cake, moist with orange juice, then apply cream all over the cake and decorate with orange slices.
