Pheni Recipe

Normally on Eid festival, or any other occasion, we make sheer khurma or kheer but my family loves to eat Pheni/pheniyaan. Pheni/pheniyaan, also called lacha semai, this is a delicious and rich dessert that you can serve after your everyday meals or for any special occasion.

Best Sheer Khurma Recipe
Ingredients:
- Full cream milk – 1 litre
- Pheniyaan – 130 gm
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Green cardamoms – 2
- Saffron – 1/4 tsp
- Dates – 5
- Pistachio
- Raisins
- Almond
Keto Saffron Barfi
Method:
- In a sauce pan add milk, sugar, cardamoms, saffron and dates. Bring the milk to a brisk boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Then add the pheni, mix well and turn off the heat. Allow the milk and pheni mixture to rest in the pan for about 10 minutes. This will help soften the pheni in the warm milk.
- Transfer the Pheni to a serving bowl, garnish with chopped nuts and serve.
