How to Make BBQ Raita in Urdu – English

Ingredients:

  1. Rice – 500 g
  2. Oil – 2 tbsp
  3. Salt – 2 tbsp
  4. Green chillies – 4 – 5
  5. Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp
  6. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  7. Cloves – 3
  8. Green cardamom – 2
  9. Bay leaves – 2
  10. Cinnamon sticks – 2
  11. Whole black peppers – 8 to 10
  12. Black cardamom – 1

Yogurt Mixture:

  1. Yogurt – 250 gm
  2. Tomato – 2 medium sized (chopped)
  3. Whole dry red chilies – 4
  4. Crushed dry coriander – 2 tsp
  5. Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  6. Cumin powder – 2 tsp
  7. Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
  8. Salt – 1 tsp or to taste
  9. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Mix all ingredients in yogurt and set aside.

Ingredients for Simple Chicken Biryani without Biryani Masala

  1. Chicken – 750 gm
  2. Oil – 1/2 cup
  3. Onions – 2 medium sized (sliced)
  4. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  5. Brown onions – 3 tbsp
  6. Lemon slices – to taste
  7. Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp
  8. Mint leaves – 10
  9. Milk – 1/4 cup (mixed with few drops of yellow food colour or saffron)
  10. Desi ghee – 1 tbsp

Method:

  • First, take rice and put it in boiling water, along with oil, whole garam masala, salt, green chillies and fresh coriander. Once it’s boiled, drain and set aside.
  • Now take another pan and add oil. Once the oil is hot enough, add chopped onions and fry well.
  • When the onions turn a light pink, add ginger garlic, fry well, and then add the chicken.
  • Cook until the meat’s colour starts to change, and then yogurt mixture and fry well, cover and cook until chicken is tender.
  • Once it’s tender and water dries, add lemon slices and boiled rice. Spread the rice nicely.
  • Sprinkle brown onion, fresh coriander, mint leaves.
  • Now mix milk with yellow food colour or saffron, and pour that in.
  • Then pour melted ghee, cover and let it cook on low heat for 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Enjoy your chicken biryani.
