Spicy Roast Chicken And Gajar Ka Halwa by Sara Riaz
Spicy Roast Chicken
Ingredients:
- Whole chicken – 1 1/2 kg
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Crushed black pepper – 1 tsp
- Tandoori color – 1 pinch
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- Chilli garlic sauce – 2 tbsp
- Ketchup – 2 tbsp
- Mix herbs – 1 tsp
- Mustard powder or mustard paste – 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic – 2 tsp
- BBQ sauce – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 1/4 cup
- Onion – 1 chopped
- Mix vegetables – 1 cup
- Salad leaves – 2-3
- French fries – 1 packet
Method:
- Clean and wash whole chicken, then tie with thread or rubber band.
- Now prick with fork and apply, salt, black pepper, tandoori color, lemon juice, chili garlic sauce, mixed herbs, mustard paste, bbq sauce and ginger garlic paste, inside and outside.
- Now leave for 2 to 3 hours.
- Then take a wok, add oil and saute onion, add marinated chicken with all spices, cover and cook on low heat until tender.
- Fry well.
- Then serve with boiled or steamed vegetables, onion rings, salad leaves and french fries.
Gajar Ka Halwa
Ingredients:
- Carrots – 3 kg
- Khoya – 1/2 kg
- Desi ghee – 125 gm
- Sugar – 375 gm
- Almond Pistachio – 1 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
- Almonds and pistachio – 1 cup
- Silver paper – 2
- Boiled eggs – 2
Method:
- Take a pan, add grated carrots and sugar, cover and let it cook on low heat until carrots soften and water dries.
- Then take a separate pan, add ghee and cardamom, fry for 5 seconds, then add in cooked carrots and fry well.
- Then add khoya and cover it with halwa.
- Then dish out and garnish with dry nuts, silver paper and boiled eggs.
- Serve hot.
Khoya
Ingredients:
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Ghee – 1/2 cup
- Dry milk powder – 2 cups
Method:
- Take a pan, add water and ghee, heat up and add milk powder and mix well.
- Khoya is ready to use.
