How to Make Perfect Pita Bread: English – Urdu Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Pitta bread – 1
  2. Boneless chicken – 250gm
  3. Onion – 1
  4. Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp
  5. Mayonnaise – 2 tsp
  6. Cheese slices – 2
  7. Capsicum – 1
  8. Oil – 3 tbsp
  9. Mint – 1 tbsp
  10. Salt – to taste
  11. Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
  12. Red crushed chili – 1/2 tsp
  13. Amchoor powder – 1/2 tsp

Method:

  • Take a pan, heat up oil and sauté onion, then add capsicum, fresh coriander, mint leaves, salt, cumin seeds, red crushed chili and amchoor powder, mix and cook well until chicken is tender.
  • Heat up pita bread, add chicken, mayonnaise and cheese slice and serve hot.
  • You can also use any kind of sauce instead of mayonnaise.

Subway Chicken Fajita Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 200 gm chicken (cut in small cubes)
  2. 1 loaf Italian bread
  3. 1 slice of cheddar cheese (cut in half)
  4. 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  5. 1 tbsp mustard sauce
  6. 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  7. 1 tbsp vinegar
  8. 1 tbsp olive oil
  9. 3 onion rings
  10. 3 capsicum rings
  11. 3 slice of tomato
  12. 2-3 leaves of ice berg or lettuce
  13. 4 rings of black olives
  14. 3-4 slices of pickled cucumber
  15. Salt and pepper to taste
  16. ½ Lemons
  17. ½ tsp whole crushed red chillies
  18. ½ tsp Soya sauce

Method:

  • Marinate the chicken cubes for half an hour with salt, red chillies, lemon and Soya sauce.
  • Take some oil in a pan, add chicken and stir it until cooked. Set a side. Cut the bread in half.
  • Arrange cheese slices in a slightly overlapping triangle. Top with chicken and drizzle mayonnaise, mustard, chilli sauce, vinegar and olive oil one after the other.
  • Then arrange onion, capsicum, olives, tomato, lettuce and pickled cucumbers. Sprinkle salt and pepper and cover it with the remaining bread serve warm.

Italian bread:

Ingredients:

  1. 3 cups flour
  2. 1 tbsp honey or sugar
  3. 1 ½ tbsp salt
  4. 1 ½ tbs olive oil
  5. 1 ½ tbs yeast
  6. Water for brushing
  7. 1 egg white mixed with 1 tbsp water
  8. 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Method:

  • Use first 6 ingredients to make the dough.
  • Form into an oblong loaf. Place loaf on a baking sheet.
  • Brush top of loaf with water.
  • Cover with a plastic wrapper and set aside to rise in a warm place until doubled in size, for about 50 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400º F. Brush loaf with egg mixture.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Make 4 deep slashes with a sharp knife across the top of the dough, being careful not to tear and deflate the dough.
  • Place a pan of hot water at the bottom of oven.
  • Bake on centre rack of the oven for 35 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and cool the bread on wire racks.
