Akbari Mutton Raan Recipe
Spicy Raan Roast: English – Urdu Recipe
Ingredients:
- Mutton raan – 1 1/2 kg make deep cuts
- Salt – to taste
- Long black pepper – 1/2 tbsp
- Degi mirch – 1 tbsp
- Red chili powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Papaya paste – 2 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
- Cumin powder – 1 tbsp
- Garam masala powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Egg – 1
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Yogurt – 2 tbsp
Raan Steam Roast: English – Urdu Recipe
Method:
- In a wide bowl, add ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt and water, soak mutton raan in this water for half an hour.
- Then take it out from the water and pat dry.
- Now in a separate bowl, add salt, ground long black pepper, degi mirch, red chili powder, papaya paste, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, garam masala powder, egg, oil, yogurt, mix it well and apply on mutton raan. Leave for 10 to 12 hours or ovenright.
- Then steam this raan in a prepared steamer for 1 and half hour.
- When it’s done, apply remaining marination and grill or BBQ to give a nice brown color. (apply oil with brush while doing bbq or grill).
