Charsi Chicken Karahi is a dish from Peshawar and now it’s famous in all Pakistani cuisine. The authentic Peshawari version does not have onions. The dish is prepared in a karahi. It can take between 20 and 30 minutes. It can be served with naan or tandoori roti. Very simple and quick karahi can be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. Charsi Chicken Karahi Street Style
Shinwari Mutton Karahi: English – Urdu Recipe
Ingredients:
- Chicken – ½ kg
- Oil – 1 cup
- Tomatoes – 4 big size
- Salt – to taste
- Ginger garlic water – 5 tbsp
- Crushed black pepper – 2 tsp
- Green chillies – 4 to 5 sliced
- Ginger flakes – 1 tbsp

Method to Prepare Charsi Chicken Karahi
- Heat up oil in a wok and fry chicken in this oil until turns a reddish colour. Remove extra oil.
- Add tomatoes with salt and ginger garlic water and cook until tomatoes are soft, discard skin.
- Add black pepper, half green chillies and fry well.
- Garnish with green chillies, ginger flakes and fresh coriander.
- Serve with Tandoori roti or naan.
