Chinese Pakoray

Ingredients:

  1. Cabbage – 1 cup (julienne cut)
  2. Gram flour – 1 cup
  3. carrot – 1 (julienne cut)
  4. Potato – 1 (grated)
  5. Spring onion – 1 thinly chopped
  6. Onion – 1 (cut in julienne)
  7. Red crushed chilli – 1 Β½ tsp
  8. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  9. Salt – 1 tsp or to taste
  10. Green chillies – 6
  11. Baking soda – ΒΌ tsp
  12. Fresh coriander – 2tbsp
  13. Turmeric powder – ΒΌ tsp

Method:

  • Take a bowl and put all spices along with gram flour and make a smooth better.
  • Then add all vegetables and mix well. Put oil in a wok.
  • Drop small portions of the batter into the oil with your fingers and deep fry on medium heat till golden and crisp.
  • Drain and place them on an absorbent paper.
  • Serve with mint chutney.
