Easy Onion Bhaji

Onion bhaji is a spicy hot snack dish similar to a fritter, originating from the Indian subcontinent, with several variants. It is a popular snack food.
Onion bhajis are often eaten as a starter in Indian restaurants before the main course, along with poppadoms and other Indian snacks. They may be served with a side of salad and slice of lemon, or with mango chutney, and are traditionally made to a mild taste.
Easy Onion Bhaji
Spicy and Crispy Onion Rings: English – Urdu Recipe
Ingredients:
- Onion (medium size) – 4
- Green chillies – 4 to 5
- Fresh coriander – 4 tbsp
- Cumin powder – 1 tsp
- Red chili flakes – 1 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Gram flour – 100 grams
- Oil – for frying

Method:
- Add onion, green chilies, fresh coriander, cumin powder, red chili flakes, chili powder and salt in a large mixing bowl mix all ingredients and give it a thorough mix for 5 minutes until you can see the onions all coated fully in spices.
- Just before it goes in add gram flour and shape the mix into balls.
- Make sure do not squish them, just form the rough round shape without forcing them into the ball shape. just enough force to come together and hold the shape.
- Once you have the shape add to the oil and fry until golden and caramelized after about 8-10 minutes or until your preference it should be ready!
- Serve with mint yoghurt and salad.
