Maple syrup or golden syrup – ½ cup
Butter – 60g
Pineapple rings – 2 tin
Cherries – as required
Apply butter on cake pan. Cook golden syrup or maple syrup with 60g butter until it becomes a thick batter. Then put syrup mixture in cake pan and arrange pineapple rings and cherries. Now take a wide pan and add water, then heat it up. Take another steel bowl or pan which can fix on hot water. Now put sugar, eggs and vanilla essence in the steel bowl, and put it on the pan and beat it until the batter is creamy. Take the bowl off of the heat. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a different bowl, then add it in the egg mixer and mix with a spoon, and add this batter to the cake pan. Bake in preheated oven, at 160ºC, 325ºF, and gas mark 3 for one hour.
