
How to Make Easy Pav Bhaji
Pav bhaji is a Maharashtrian spicy dish that originated in Mumbai cuisine. Pav Bhaji varies greatly as it is essentially a fast food dish to be prepared quickly.
Ingredients:
- Boiled cauliflower – 1 cup
- Boiled potato – 2
- Carrots – 2 boiled
- Onion – 1 chopped
- Oil – ¼ cup
- Tomato – 2 chopped
- Fresh coriander – ¼ bunch
- Green chilli – 3
- Salt – to taste
Ingredients for Pav bhaji masala:
- Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
- Cloves – 4 to 5
- Fried cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds – 2 pinches
- Cumin powder – ¾ tsp
- Coriander powder – ¾ tsp
- Whole black pepper – 5 to 6
- Garlic powder – ½ tsp
Mix all pav bhaji masala and grind.
Method:
Take a skillet, pour oil and sauté onion, then add
pav bhaji masala and tomato, fry and add 1 tbsp of water, cover and cook until tomato softens. Then add vegetables and fry well. Cover and cook on dum for 5 minutes. When it’s done, garnish with fresh coriander, green chilli and butter. Serve with
pav buns and enjoy.
