How to Make Pumpkin Halwa


  1. Pumpkin – 500gm
  2. Semolina – 1 cup
  3. Ghee – ¾ cup
  4. Sugar – 1 cup
  5. Green cardamoms – 4
  6. Water – 3 cups
  7. Raisins, almonds, pistachio – as required


  • Take a pan, add pumpkin slices and ¼ cup of water, cook on low heat until pumpkin slices become soft.
  • Then take a wok, heat up ghee and add cardamoms and semolina, fry until you can smell the aroma.
  • When it’s done, add sugar and water; cook until water dries.
  • Then add softened pumpkin slices and half quantity of dry nuts; fry well.
  • Dish out, garnish with remaining nuts and sliver paper.
  • Serve hot.
