


How to Make Spicy Chicken Shawarma
Ingredients for chicken marinating:
- Chicken breast – 1
- Yogurt – ½ cup
- Paprika powder – 1 tsp
- Nutmeg powder – 1 tsp
- Black pepper – ½ tsp
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Cumin powder – 1 tsp
- Garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Green cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
- Mix all ingredients and leave for 4 hrs then cook in pan with oil or bake in preheated oven on 150 degree for 15 to 20 minutes.
- When it’s done cut in small chunks.
Tahini Sauce
- Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- Sesame seeds paste – 4 tbsp
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
Put all ingredients in a bowl, mix and make smooth paste.
Pickled Vegetables
- White vinegar – 2 cups
- Beet root – 1
- Cucumber – 1
- Onion – 1
- Green chilli – 2
- Salt – ½ tsp
Put all ingredients and water in pan and boil then put vegetables in clean jars and pour boiled water and close and leave them for 2 to 3 days and then use.
Pita Bread
- Plain Flour – 1 cup
- Rice flour – ½ cup
- Salt – ½ tsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Yeast – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
Mix all, make dough and leave for 15 min and make pita bread in frying pan or oven.
Serving suggestion:
- Cut chicken into slices and mix in sliced pickled vegetables.
- Apply sauce on pita bread, then chicken and pickled vegetables mixture, make roll and serve.
