Easy Naan Recipe: English – Urdu

Ingredients:

  1. Prawns – 1 kg
  2. Oil – 1/2 cup
  3. Bay leaf – 1
  4. Whole dry red chilies – 2 to 3
  5. Cinnamon sticks – 2 pieces
  6. Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  7. Cumin seeds – 2 tsp
  8. Garlic cloves – 10 to 12
  9. Ginger – 1 inch piece
  10. Onion paste – 2
  11. Salt – 1 tsp
  12. Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  13. Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  14. Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
  15. Coconut milk – 1/2 cup
  16. Green chili – 3 to 4
  17. Fresh coriander 2 tbsp

Method;

  • Clean the prawns and marinate with salt and turmeric.
  • Then heat up 1/4 cup oil in a pan and fry marinated prawns for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Now add 1/4 cup oil in a wok and fry whole dry red chili, bay leaf, cinnamon sticks, mustard seeds, cumin seeds until fragrant.
  • Then add onion paste and fry until onion turn into light brown.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt and red chili powder, fry well.
  • Then add coconut milk and garam masala powder, cook and bring to boil.
  • Then add fried prawns and green chilies, cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with green coriander and serve.
