Quick Aloo Paratha Recipe

I created quick aloo paratha recipe with chakki atta along with video for paratha lover. Aloo paratha or parathay is an Indian and Pakistani recipe and one of the most popular breakfast dishes throughout western, central and northern regions of India and in Pakistan. Aloo parathas consist of unleavened dough stuffed with a spiced mixture of mashed potato, which is rolled out and cooked on a hot tawa with butter or ghee. Aloo paratha is usually served with chutney, curd or Pickles.

Ingredients for dough:

  1. Chakki atta dougn – 2 cups
  2. Salt – to taste

Ingredients for filling:

  1. Boiled and mashed potato – 2
  2. Crushed cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  3. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  4. Red crused chili – 1 tsp
  5. Salt – 1/4 tsp
  6. Fresh corander – 2 tbsp chopped
  7. Green chili – 1 chopped
  8. Butter or ghee – for fry

How to Make Besan ka Paratha in Urdu – English

Method:

  • Make medium soft dough with warm water and set aside.
  • Mashed the boil potatos and mix cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red crushed chili, salt, fresh coriander and green chili.
  • Divide dough and into equal portions.
  • Roll out a circle, place 3 tbsp potato stuffing mixture and spread it.
  • Then make a slit from one side, roll and make cone shape, press it firmly.
  • Roll with light hands, heat up a griddle and cook this paratha from both sides with ghee or butter until crispy and golden.
  • Repeat the same with other dough balls.
  • Now aloo paratha is ready to serve with curd, pickle or any chutney you like.
