Spicy Andoon ki Karhi

Spicy Andoon ki Karhi. Kadhi or karhi is an North Indian and Pakistani dish. It is a spicy dish whose thick gravy is based on chickpea flour and contains vegetable fritters called pakoras, to which sour yogurt is added to give it little sour taste. It is often eaten with boiled rice or roti,but this is totaly diffrent and unique type of karhi recipe.


  1. Yogurt – ½ kg
  2. Lemon – 2
  3. Gram flour – 4 tbsp
  4. Boiled eggs – 6
  5. Cloves – 12 (insert cloves in eggs from both sides and fry bit)
  6. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  7. Red chilli powder – 1tbsp
  8. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  9. Curry leaf – 5
  10. Green chilli – 3
  11. Salt – to taste
  12. Fried green stuffed green chilli – 1


  • In yogurt mix lemon juice, 4 tbsp gram flour, mix well.
  • Then add turmeric powder,  red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and mix well, add 2 glass of water, mix well and then strain and add 1 glass water more.
  • Then add curry leaf and green chilli and let it cook on low heat, when start boiling add salt and cook until green chilli tender.
  • Then add fried eggs and fried green stuffed green chilli.
  • Then pour bighaar and serve with butter rice or plain boil rice.

Prepare Green Cillies:


  1. Green chillies – 15 cut from middle
  2. Dry coriander – 2 tbsp
  3. Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  4. Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  5. Tamarind pulp – 1 tbsp
  6. Salt – to taste


  • Take dry coriander, mustard seeds and cumin seeds, mix fry and grind, mix in little bit tamarind pulp and salt, mix well.
  • Fill green chilli with this masala.
  • Then fry and add in karhi.


  1. Dry coriander – 1 tsp
  2. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  3. Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  4. Curry leaf
  5. Red whole chilli – 6
  6. Garlic – 2 cloves chopped
  • Fry in oil and pour on karhi
